Storming the bedrooms

Even though the weather outside mid-Ohio right now is pretty nice, low temps 30-ish at night, no snow, patchy sun that’s where I should be, right?! Where am I you ask? “creating a major storm in the bedrooms”!

I don’t know about you but as the holiday progresses everything seems to get dumped into one or two rooms; master bedroom

and my office! In the last few days and mainly today I’ve been tearing things apart and getting stuff put back where they belong.

But, then it gets even more complicated! I decide to oil all my natural furniture, baskets, trunks, boxes, wicker….anything that looks like it

needs a good oiling, even stuff that I don’t think has ever been oiled! I pretend that as I’m doing this and watch the oil soak in and the wood turns color, that a quiet breath is released…….”ah, that feels good! Thank you!” Makes me feel good and I know that at least for awhile that enormous task is done (I have got to stop collecting!!!!!).

CGOA Crochet Design Entry

Greatfull Dead PurseGreatfull Dead Purse LiningEntered this purse in the Crochet Guild of America design category “Mixed Medium”. The purse is made in thread and cassette tape! That’s right the glittery effect is the tape. Too funny, loved playing. Didn’t win (boo hoo) but had a great time anticipating and wondering if anyone just laughed at my use of cassette tape, if so, then worth it! In keeping with the Greatfull Dead, check out the lining!

If you crochet and haven’t heard of the Crochet Guild of America it is definitely worth the investigation.

Crochet Chargers for your table

I find myself spinning between new crochet designs, photography (well making the prop came first). Waking up the garden from the Winter, raking, raking, raking all the tree debris away from my lovely bulbs making their debut; Daffies, Hostas, Peonys!
Editing on my fav editing software RIBBET on those new pictures I took today. Then hid, read a book (secretly took a nap). I love Spring! Don’t forget Easter is only like a week away, you can still get those chargers done.

Don’t make New Year Resolutions

Rocking Crochet in the New Year

Happy New Year 2017!

Don’t make New Year Resolutions? Well, now you know that’s not true!  I do have many New Year Resolutions, the first is always to say a prayer and wish all of you a very good and prosperous year ahead. The second is a commitment said like a prayer to finish what I start!!!!!

Often I am working on too many things at once. But as an independent small business owner, that is always the challenge. So, this year I’m making an action list that makes more sense to me. That list contains short and long term activities. I pray it will keep me on track. We’ll see. God Bless everyone in the New Year and may you achieve all Your Goals and Resolutions.
